2010 Senior Athlete Banquet
The 2010 Senior Athlete Banquet will be held Friday, April 30 at 6 p.m. in Nerney Field House at the Dixon Center. On this night, the Cabrini Athletic Department will take the opportunity to honor and congratulate its student-athletes as their final year of eligibility comes to a close.
The Senior Student-Athlete Banquet recognizes all student-athletes who are finishing their athletic careers as Cavaliers. In addition, several special awards are presented to seniors (Girard-Goodwin Male and Female Scholar Athlete Awards, Male and Female Most Oustanding Senior Student-Athlete Awards and Denise Edwards Award). Special senior gifts, a catered dinner and slideshow dedication highlight the evening.
The Girard-Goodwin Male and Female Scholar Athlete Awards are given to one male and one female senior student-athlete with the highest four-year cumulative GPA. Last year, the distinguished honors were awarded to
Tim Harner (golf) and
Lauren Magill (women's lacrosse).
In 2009, the Most Outstanding Male Senior Student-Athlete Award was given to men's lacrosse's
Jeff Moore and
Scott Reimer. The Most Outstanding Female Senior Student-Athlete Award went to
Melissa Benedetti of the field hockey and softball's teams.
Dixon Center administrative coordinator
Amanda Eckenroad was the recipient of the Denise Edwards Award, given to an individual (faculty, staff or student) who best exemplifies the spirit of Cabrini Athletics.
All student-athletes in their final year of eligibility are invited free of charge. Tickets will be available for purchase for all others wishing to attend. More details will follow.
