The 18th-ranked Cabrini men’s lacrosse team (2-2) is looking to rebound from a 21-7 loss at the hands of No. 3 Roanoke College in its last outing on March 6. The Cavaliers are 1-0 at home this season, downing Fairleigh Dickinson University, 16-7, on Feb. 24.

Senior attackman Casey Grugan enters Saturday’s contest versus the Lords just seven points shy of becoming the program’s all-time leader. Grugan has posted 250 career points on 152 goals and 98 assists. He trails former Cavalier Scott Reimer’s (2006-09) top mark of 256 points.

Grugan, the NCAA Division III record holder for most consecutive games with at least one goal scored (58), also needs just two assists to become only the second player in program history to distribute 100 career helpers. Cabrini Athletic Hall of Fame honoree Tom Lemieux (1999-02) owns a program-record 131 career assists.

Junior attackman Paul Skulski has led the Cavaliers’ attack through the season’s first four games, tallying a team-best 16 points on nine goals and seven assists. Skulski notched five points on two scores and three helpers in the loss against Roanoke. He also posted five points on four goals and one assist in an 11-6 victory at Hampden-Sydney College March 3.

This will mark the first meeting between Cabrini and Kenyon on the men’s lacrosse field since the 1998 season. The Cavaliers downed the Lords in the last meeting, 13-11, at a neutral location.

The Cabrini women’s lacrosse team begins its 2010 home schedule versus Dickinson on the heels of a thrilling 13-12 win against the University of Scranton on March 11.

Junior attack Jamie O’Hanlon’s goal with 2:38 remaining in the second half broke a 12-12 tie and proved to be the game winner. Senior attack Amanda Alexandrowicz powered the Cavaliers’ offense against the Lady Royals, totaling a career-best nine points on eight goals and one assist.

Alexandrowicz needs just 14 points to reach the 200-point plateau for her career at Cabrini. She has recorded 186 career points on 157 goals and 29 assists. Fellow senior attack Erin Nollen has surpassed the 200-point barrier, notching 224 points.

Senior goalkeeper Kate Schmid has both starts for the Blue & White between the pipes in 2010. Schmid totaled 18 saves in the win against Scranton.
