ASTON, Pa. – Senior point guard Deana DiAmico has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. DiAmico averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two victories last week.
DiAmico poured in a season-high 27 points, including the 1,000th of her Cabrini career, in a 70-50 win against non-conference foe Rutgers University – Camden Feb. 1. She became the program’s ninth 1,000-point scorer all-time and first since the 2001-02 season.
DiAmico guided the Cavaliers to a come-from-behind 62-60 win at Rosemont College Feb. 4. She scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. DiAmico knocked down 6-of-8 3-point attempts against the Ravens.
DiAmico is averaging a career-high 13.2 points per game in 2009-10, listing second on the team. She has scored in double figures in eight straight games and 11-of-12 overall. The Blue & White is 10-2 during that stretch.
Cabrini (13-7, 9-2) is back on the road tonight at non-conference Alvernia University. Game time is set for approximately 8 p.m.
