RADNOR, Pa. – Senior combo combo guard Alyssa Brady has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Monday, Jan. 25 to Sunday, Jan. 31. Brady has received the weekly honors four times in 2009-10, including two consecutive weeks.
Brady led the Cabrini women’s basketball team to three wins last week, including two against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponents. The Cavaliers topped non-conference foe Montclair State University (65-54), before knocking off league foes Cedar Crest College (77-53) and Centenary College (68-64).
Brady recorded her third and fourth double-doubles of the season in the wins against Montclair and Centenary. She tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds versus the Red Hawks, and 22 points and 12 boards versus the Cyclones.
Brady shot 59.5 percent from the floor overall in the three games. She averaged 19.0 points and 10.rebounds per game for the week.
Brady leads the Cavaliers in points per game (15.1), rebounds per game (8.2) and field goal percentage (.455). She was named the CSAC Player of the Week for the third time this season Monday.
Cabrini (12-7, 8-2) resumes its CSAC regular season schedule Thursday at Rosemont College. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
