Men's, Women's Basketball in CSAC Doubleheader Today at Centenary College

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Cabrini men and women's basketball teams are back in action today at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Centenary College. The Cavalier women's game tips at 1 p.m., while the men's contest is set to start at approximately 3 p.m.

The Cabrini women's team boasted five scorers in double figures its last outing, a 77-53 win at CSAC opponent Cedar Crest College. Senior combo guard Alyssa Brady led the Cavaliers offense for the 12th time this season with a team-high 20 points.

Senior point Deana DiAmico tallied 12 points in the win. DiAmico is now just 41 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point plateau for her Cabrini career.

Senior forward Kasey Agostinacchio scored a season-best 15 points off the bench in just 17 minutes played.

The Centenary women's squad (11-6, 8-1) is in first place in the CSAC North Division. The Cyclones and Marywood University (12-4, 7-1) each have just one loss in league play this season.

The Cavalier men are coming off an emotional 80-71 win at non-conference foe Eastern University, the team's third straight against its backyard rival. Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a game-best 33 points in the win.

Misevicius hit the 30-point barrier for the sixth time in his Cabrini career versus the Eagles. The Cavaliers are 5-1 in those contest. He is now 76 points short of the 1,000-point scoring milestone.

If the regular season were to end today, the Centenary men's team (7-10, 5-5) would hold the sixth and final CSAC playoff spot. The Cyclones are coming off a 96-81 win at home versus Marywood Jan. 25.

Kevin Misevicius
Basketball (Men)

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a team-high 20 points in the Cavaliers’ NCAA Tournament First Round loss against No. 16 Randolph-Macon College at Albright College’s George C. Bollman Center.

Misevicius shot 8-for-17 from the field overall and knocked down 4-of-8 3-point attempts. He also grabbed four rebounds and swiped three steals. Misevicius reached the 20-point pleateau for the 30th time in two seasons at Cabrini.

Misevicius concludes his Cavaliers’ career listing ninth all-time on the program’s scoring list with 1,123 points. He ranks sixth all-time in blocked shots (73) and seventh in steals (155).

Misevicius is the only player in program history to twice eclipse the 500-point barrier in a single season. He also owns the team’s second and third best single-season steals performances, swiping 84 in 2008-09 and 71 in 2009-10.
