Christiana Taylor has advanced to the final heat of the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Marietta College. Taylor notched the prelimaries' fourth-best time on day one.
Taylor recorded a time of 61.60 seconds, less than one second behind the top time of 60.72 seconds posted by Frostburg State University's Sumer Rohrs. Senior
Leslie Williams also competed in the 400m hurdles, but did not qualify to the final heat with a time of 62.34 seconds.
Taylor charted a leap of 16' 5'' in the long jump, failing to qualify for the championship. Freshman
Shakeya Singleton-Ladson totaled a time of 25.49 seconds in the 200m dash, but did not advance to the final heat.
The Cavaliers also ran the 4x400m relay with Williams, Taylor, Singleton-Ladson and sophomore Dana Nardello, notching a time of 3:53.51.
