Taylor Advances in 400m Hurdles at NCAA Outdoor Championship

MARIETTA, Ohio -
Junior Christiana Taylor has advanced to the final heat of the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Marietta College. Taylor notched the prelimaries' fourth-best time on day one.

Taylor recorded a time of 61.60 seconds, less than one second behind the top time of 60.72 seconds posted by Frostburg State University's Sumer Rohrs. Senior Leslie Williams also competed in the 400m hurdles, but did not qualify to the final heat with a time of 62.34 seconds.

Taylor charted a leap of 16' 5'' in the long jump, failing to qualify for the championship. Freshman Shakeya Singleton-Ladson totaled a time of 25.49 seconds in the 200m dash, but did not advance to the final heat.

The Cavaliers also ran the 4x400m relay with Williams, Taylor, Singleton-Ladson and sophomore Dana Nardello, notching a time of 3:53.51.

Kevin Misevicius
Basketball (Men)

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a team-high 20 points in the Cavaliers’ NCAA Tournament First Round loss against No. 16 Randolph-Macon College at Albright College’s George C. Bollman Center.

Misevicius shot 8-for-17 from the field overall and knocked down 4-of-8 3-point attempts. He also grabbed four rebounds and swiped three steals. Misevicius reached the 20-point pleateau for the 30th time in two seasons at Cabrini.

Misevicius concludes his Cavaliers’ career listing ninth all-time on the program’s scoring list with 1,123 points. He ranks sixth all-time in blocked shots (73) and seventh in steals (155).

Misevicius is the only player in program history to twice eclipse the 500-point barrier in a single season. He also owns the team’s second and third best single-season steals performances, swiping 84 in 2008-09 and 71 in 2009-10.
