Sandefur Headlines CSAC Softball Selections
Senior 3B Kristie Sandefur earned her third career CSAC First Team selection Wednesday.

ASTON, Pa. –
Senior 3B Kristie Sandefur has been named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) First Team, the league announced Wednesday. Freshman Angela Shookster earned second-team all-conference accolades at the designated player position.

Sandefur’s career at Cabrini wraps up with her third CSAC First Team selection in the last three years. In 2009, Sandefur batted .364, hitting eight homeruns and driving in 31 runs. She led the team in eight offensive categories, also pacing the squad in runs (24), hits (43), doubles (14) and total bases (87).

Sandefur finishes a four-year run with the Cavaliers as a career .367 hitter. She has totaled 37 homeruns, 129 RBI and 98 runs scored. Sandefur’s career slugging percentage is .721.

Sandefur celebrated a career year in 2007 as a sophomore, batting .431, hitting 15 homeruns and notching 49 RBI.

Shookster concludes her first season with the Blue & White with a .270 average, recording four homeruns and 14 RBI. She tallied 24 total hits and scored 10 runs.

Junior P Liz Zimmer claimed the team’s CSAC Sportsmanship Award. Zimmer posted an 8-10 record on the mound this season, owning a 4.15 ERA and registering 87 strikeouts in 115.0 innings of work.

Cabrini’s 2009 season came to a close Wednesday with a 6-4 loss versus Immaculata University in the quarterfinal round of the CSAC Tournament. The Cavaliers posted a 16-19 overall record.

Kevin Misevicius
Basketball (Men)

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a team-high 20 points in the Cavaliers’ NCAA Tournament First Round loss against No. 16 Randolph-Macon College at Albright College’s George C. Bollman Center.

Misevicius shot 8-for-17 from the field overall and knocked down 4-of-8 3-point attempts. He also grabbed four rebounds and swiped three steals. Misevicius reached the 20-point pleateau for the 30th time in two seasons at Cabrini.

Misevicius concludes his Cavaliers’ career listing ninth all-time on the program’s scoring list with 1,123 points. He ranks sixth all-time in blocked shots (73) and seventh in steals (155).

Misevicius is the only player in program history to twice eclipse the 500-point barrier in a single season. He also owns the team’s second and third best single-season steals performances, swiping 84 in 2008-09 and 71 in 2009-10.
