Men's Tennis Topples Division II West Chester University
The Cabrini College men's tennis team fell to Neumann in the PAC Team Championships

WEST CHESTER, Pa. -
The Cabrini men's tennis team began its preparation for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Individual Championships with a 7-2 win against Division II West Chester University Friday.

Senior Justin Walsh posted his eighth straight win and improved his singles record to 12-1 overall with a 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) marathon victory at the No. 2 position against John Howanski.

Sophomore Mingkuang Luo picked up his eighth singles win of the season, downing Matt Thomas in the No. 1 spot. Sophomore Michael Sim earned his sixth victory of the year, dropping Michael Ensor at the No. 3 position.

Freshman Brendon Hajas captured the Cavaliers' fourth singles win of the afternoon, and his sixth of the season, with a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 triumph against William Ensor in the No. 5 hole.

The Blue & White swept doubles play. Walsh and Luo totaled an 8-3 victory at the No. 1 position in doubles, winning their seventh match of the season.

Sim and sophomore John Van Wagner earned an 8-6 win at the No. 2 spot and Hajas and freshman Walter Jesuncosky collected an 8-5 victory in the No. 3 position.

Cabrini resumes its postseason schedule Sunday, April 26 at Gwynedd-Mercy College at 10 a.m. in the CSAC Individual Championships. Day two is scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 10 a.m.

Kevin Misevicius
Basketball (Men)

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a team-high 20 points in the Cavaliers’ NCAA Tournament First Round loss against No. 16 Randolph-Macon College at Albright College’s George C. Bollman Center.

Misevicius shot 8-for-17 from the field overall and knocked down 4-of-8 3-point attempts. He also grabbed four rebounds and swiped three steals. Misevicius reached the 20-point pleateau for the 30th time in two seasons at Cabrini.

Misevicius concludes his Cavaliers’ career listing ninth all-time on the program’s scoring list with 1,123 points. He ranks sixth all-time in blocked shots (73) and seventh in steals (155).

Misevicius is the only player in program history to twice eclipse the 500-point barrier in a single season. He also owns the team’s second and third best single-season steals performances, swiping 84 in 2008-09 and 71 in 2009-10.
