Junior forward Kevin Misevicius tallied 16 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Senior point guard Charles Bush totaled 14 points, four boards and four assists.

Senior shooting guard Ryan Oxley and sophomore forward Dom Farrello each recorded seven points. Farrello corralled six rebounds and Oxley added three boards.

The Cavaliers twice led by as much as 15 points in the first half and owned an 11-point advantage, 32-21, at the intermission. The Lions shot just 34.5 percent from the field in the first stanza, making only 1-of-10 long-range attempts.

Washington deposited 13 of his game-high total in the opening period, shooting 5-for-8 from the field. Misevicius added eight points and four boards at the break.

Cabrini held a double-figure lead throughout the second period and even pushed its cushion to 17 points on two different occasions. Oxley’s three-ball at the 8:56 mark handed the Cavaliers a 57-40 advantage.

Washington later drained his third and final triple of the contest just 90 seconds following, pushing Cabrini’s lead back to 17 points at 60-43.

However, PSU – Behrend stayed on the Blue & White’s heels, trimming its deficit to eight points with 2:20 remaining. Junior guard Adam Kaiser sunk a three-point field goal with 54 seconds left to pull the Lions within six points, 68-62.

Following two free throws from sophomore guard Lamar Fisher, the Cavaliers led by eight points, 71-63, and the visitors would climb no closer.

Despite losing the battle on the scoreboard, the Lions edged Cabrini in every statistical category, owning advantages in points in the paint (32-31), points off turnovers (19-18), second-chance points (14-8) and bench points (18-4).

The Cavaliers out-ran PSU – Behrend, 9-4, on the fast break.
