INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
The Cabrini women's soccer team will play its first NCAA Tournament match since the 2003 season Saturday, November 14 at No. 10 Johns Hopkins University. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Homewood Field.

The Cavaliers began the 2009 season with one thing in mind - 6:38, representing the time left on the clock when Marywood University scored to force overtime and eventually eliminate the Blue & White from the 2008 CSAC Tournament.

This season, the scoreboard hung 5:04 when junior forward Annmarie Kolla scored the game-winning goal in overtime and catapulted the Cavaliers past No. 1 seed Marywood University, 1-0, and to their first CSAC title since the 2003 campaign. Kolla was named the match's most valuable player. Freshman goalkeeper Maddy Edwards posted six saves in the win.

Cabrini will play without the services of CSAC Second Team selection and leading scorer Sabina DeGisi. DeGisi suffered a season-ending leg injury in the Cavaliers' semifinal round win against Centenary College. The Blue & White will need to fill a void left without 38 points on 18 goals and two assists in 2009, and 138 points on 62 goals and 14 assists in a career.

Johns Hopkins (16-3) has earned the automatic qualifying invitation to the NCAA Tournament on the heels of a 1-0 win versus Dickinson College in the Centennial Conference championship match. The Blue Jays have won 14 of their last 15 contests.

Cabrini and Hopkins are Game 1 of a doubleheader that later features Virginia Wesleyan University and local rival Eastern University at 2:30 p.m. Winners of Game 1 and Game 2 will meet Sunday, November 15 at 2 p.m.
