Men's Basketball Rolls to 84-53 Win Against Philadelphia Biblical University in CSAC Opener

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini men’s basketball team remains unbeaten following a resounding 84-53 win against Philadelphia Biblical University in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener for both teams. The Cavaliers are 4-0 to begin the year for the second straight season.

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a game-high 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting overall. Misevicius knocked down two of his three 3-point tries. He tallied eight points at halftime before shooting a blistering 5-for-6 from the field in just six minutes played in the second half.

Sophomore forward Brandon Carter made his first start of the season, scoring eight points, dishing six assists and claiming five rebounds. Freshman center Goran Dulac paired eight points with seven rebounds.

Freshman floor general Cory Lemons contributed four points, four assists and two steals.

Freshman combo guard A.J. Williams notched nine points, draining 3-for-4 attempts from beyond the 3-point arc. Senior forward Chris Blake added seven points and junior forward Wes Toth collected seven boards off the bench.

The Cavaliers pushed the pedal to the metal from the opening tip and did not look back, leading by as much as 22 points in the first half. Cabrini owned a 44-25 advantage at the intermission, scoring 24 points in the paint.

The Blue & White raced out of the gates in the second half, pushing its cushion to 30 points, 62-32, at the 14:24 mark after two free throws from Misevicius.

Cabrini’s lead ballooned 37 points, 72-35, less than four minutes following after sophomore guard Greg Zabel rattled in a jumper from 15 feet. The Cavaliers led by as much as 39 points down the stretch.

Senior guard Willie Miller led the charge for Philadelphia Biblical, tallying 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Jeremy Pearson chipped in eight points.

The Cavaliers are 2-0 at Nerney Field House to begin the season. Dating back to the start of the 2008-09 season, the first under head coach Marcus Kahn, the Blue & White owns an 18-2 record on its home hardwood.

Cabrini (4-0, 1-0) returns to the road for a date at CSAC opponent Marywood University Thursday, December 3 at 8 p.m.
