RADNOR, Pa. -
The seven Cabrini fall athletic programs have been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sunday, November 2 to Monday, November 8. The Cavaliers wrapped up their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) seasons in dominating fashion, winning four conference titles and placing three cross country runners in the top 10 at the league's Fall Festival hosted by Immaculata University.

The Cabrini field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball teams each claimed the CSAC championship Saturday. It is the first time in the conference's 17-year history that one school won four of the seven fall titles in a single year.

The No. 4 Cavalier field hockey team upset No. 3 seed Neumann University, 2-1, claiming its first CSAC crown and earning its first NCAA Tournament bid in program history. Junior midfielder Shannon Mulhern's go-ahead goal with 23 seconds remaining in overtime was the eventual game winner.

The No. 1 seed Cabrini men's soccer team captured its second straight CSAC title, blanking No. 3 seed Immaculata University, 2-0. The Cavaliers hoisted the conference championship for the seventh time in program history.

The No. 2 seed Blue & White women's soccer team knocked off defending CSAC champion No. 1 seed Marywood University, 1-0, in overtime. Junior forward Annmarie Kolla scored the game-winning goal with 5:04 remaining in the first extra session. The Cabrini women's soccer team will make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2003 season.

The No. 1 seed Cavalier volleyball program swept No. 3 seed Philadelphia Biblical University, 3-0, for its first CSAC crown in program history. Senior setter Lizzie Williams guided the Blue & White attack with a match-best 29 assists. The Cavaliers have qualified for their first NCAA Tournament all-time.

In cross country action, junior Diane Gapinski finished third and freshman Shatievah Lewis placed fourth overall in the individual standings on the women's side. Freshman Tyler Rooke led the men's efforts with a sixth-place listing.

The Cabrini women's tennis season wrapped up October 14 with its fifth CSAC win of the season against Baptist Bible College. The Cavaliers finished the 2009 season with a 5-5 record versus conference opponents.
