Gapinski Earns Third CSAC Runner of the Week Honor in 2009
Junior Diane Gapinski earned her third CSAC Runner of the Week selection in 2009 Monday.

ASTON, Pa. – For the second straight week and third time in 2009, junior Diane Gapinski has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday. Gapinski placed third overall at the elite Elizabethtown College/Millersville University Invitational October 24.
Gapinski completed the 6k trail in a time of 24:52.67, finishing third in the individual rankings for the third straight week. She was the second collegiate runner to cross the finish line, just two seconds behind top performer Lindsey Hollenshead (24:50.04) from Division II Shippensburg University. Elizabethtown College alumnus Erin Fisher (24:15.34) finished first overall.
The Cabrini women's team finished ninth in a field of 12 teams.
Gapinski continues to position herself for an invitation to the Division III NCAA Championship, logging her fifth top 10 finish of the 2009 season. She was also named the CSAC Runner of the Week September 28 and October 19.
The Cabrini men and women’s cross country squads return to the course Saturday, November 7 at Immaculata University for the CSAC Championships.
