Gapinski Places Third Overall at Elite Elizabethtown/Millersville Invitational
Junior Diane Gapinski finished third overall and second among college runners Saturday at the Elizabethtown/Millersville Invite.

LANCASTER, Pa. –
Junior Diane Gapinski finished third overall and second among collegiate athletes Saturday in the Elizabethtown College/Millersville University Invitational at Lancaster Central Park. The performance earns Gapinski her fifth top 10 time of the season and third straight third-place finish.

Gapinski completed the 6k course in a time of 24:52.67, finishing first among Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) participants and just two seconds behind the top collegiate finisher. The Cavalier women placed ninth out of 12 teams.

Gapinski has also finished third overall at the Philly Metro Meet September 26 and the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championship October 17. She also recorded top 10 performances at the Delaware Valley College Invitational (6th) September 5 and the Immaculata University Invitational (4th) September 12.

Rookie Tyler Rooke continued his stellar freshman campaign, finishing 51st overall with a time of 22:35.35for the 6k course. Rooke has logged the top time for the Cavaliers in all seven meets this season.

The Cabrini men placed 13th in a field of 17 squads.

The Cabrini men and women’s cross country teams return to action Saturday, November 7 at Immaculata University for the CSAC Championships.

Kevin Misevicius
Basketball (Men)

Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a team-high 20 points in the Cavaliers’ NCAA Tournament First Round loss against No. 16 Randolph-Macon College at Albright College’s George C. Bollman Center.

Misevicius shot 8-for-17 from the field overall and knocked down 4-of-8 3-point attempts. He also grabbed four rebounds and swiped three steals. Misevicius reached the 20-point pleateau for the 30th time in two seasons at Cabrini.

Misevicius concludes his Cavaliers’ career listing ninth all-time on the program’s scoring list with 1,123 points. He ranks sixth all-time in blocked shots (73) and seventh in steals (155).

Misevicius is the only player in program history to twice eclipse the 500-point barrier in a single season. He also owns the team’s second and third best single-season steals performances, swiping 84 in 2008-09 and 71 in 2009-10.
