Senior attackman Casey Grugan has been selected the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro/South Region Player of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday. Grugan is one of five Cavaliers to receive ECAC Metro/South Region All-Stars, joining sophomore defenseman John McSorley, junior defenseman Steve Heaps, junior midfielder Paul Skulski and junior face-off specialist Mike Gurenlian.

Senior attackman Casey Grugan has earned U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association First Team All-America (USILA) distinction, the organization announced today. Grugan headlines four Cavaliers to receive USILA All-America honors as junior defenseman Steve Heaps, junior midfielder Paul Skulski and sophomore defenseman John McSorley also claimed honorable mention accolades.

Senior attackman Casey Grugan and senior midfielder Rich Romanelli have been selected to play in the 2010 U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/LaxWorld Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game, the organization announced today. Grugan and Romanelli have been named to the South roster, coached by Goucher College’s Kyle Hannan.

Sophomore attackman Brian Hill has been voted the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Monday, May 10 to Sunday, May 16. Hill led the 8th-ranked Cabrini men’s lacrosse team with six points in two NCAA Tournament games.

For the fourth straight year, Cabrini has finished first in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Overall President’s Cup standings. The Cavalier women also placed first in the CSAC Women’s President’s Cup standings. The Blue & White men listed second.

The 8th-ranked Cabrini men’s lacrosse team’s ninth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament ended Saturday afternoon on the road in the second round with a 19-9 loss against No. 1 Stevenson University at the Caves Athletic Complex. The top-ranked Mustangs scored used 11 goals in the second half, including seven in the third quarter, en route to the victory.
